What a wonderful little spot! Food was delicious (highly recommend the scallops), the cocktail were creative and well-balanced, the mezcal selection was top-notch, and the ambience was welcoming and energetic. Great customer service all the way through, and a spot we’ll definitely revisit. Perfect for something like a double date or night out with a small group of food & bev enthusiast friends.
Awesome cocktails and tons of tasty mezcal! The staff were all very friendly. The bar tender was fantastic-knowledgeable and personable. We only ate some snacks but they were delicious and fresh. Will definitely be back for a full meal.
I love mezcal and had been wanting to dine here for awhile. Dined here last and sat at the bar with Marga. She was spot on with all of her suggestions, and provided 5 star service. Everything we had was great. Drinks well balanced. The scallops were the highlight of my meal. Cooked to perfection, and the corn puree was so delicious. The strawberry dessert was simple yet tasty. Treated myself to some different mezcal’s, my favorite was the el jolgorio coyote. Will definitely be back.
This place is incredible. I’ve known about tortuga y chango they opened but didn’t have the chance to get out there until tonight and wow we’ve been missing out. Busy & casual atmosphere with great service. We tried 4 of the first course dishes and the three entrees - all of which which incredible. Highlights were the Crudo, the ‘El Sol’ cocktail (both pictured) and the Chile Relleno. Each dish was up there with the best I’ve had in Atlanta - I couldn’t name a better restaurant for a summer date.
Small. Tucked out of the way. But will not disappoint. We stopped in for tapas and drinks. I don’t know which item was best because it was all standout. We normally don’t order dessert but did this time because we were intrigued by the description. And it was worth the splurge.
Everything was amazing. The cocktails were spot on, the food delicious, and the staff were so kind and offered advice, explanations, and recommendations. Can't wait to go back! And visit 2, did two tequila tastings. Amazing. Explanations were given, food came out amazingly fast and was at least as good as last time. I love this place!
This place has to be a destination for anyone who enjoys craft cocktails and spirits. Orestes Cruz has put together a truly impressive collection of spirits in a cozy and welcoming space. The sotol and mezcal options are beyond anything I've ever seen, and Orestes is so knowledgeable without being overwhelming. You just have to stop here. Don't miss this spot.
